WARNINGS: This is Part One of a novella. Coming soon is part two, Breaking Elena: Twisted. This story contains strong language in the form of dirty talk and cursing. This story is meant for adults only. This story also contains elements of age play, virgin first time sex. This is not a typical feel good romance story. It is an erotic love story but that love story is horrifyingly twisted. Read at your own risk...

Chapter One Excerpt of Breaking Elena: Obsession
From the Journal of B. Dimitriou:
I want her with a passion I haven't felt since Sophia. I feel like a boy again. I anticipate the hours of play I'll have with my new toy.
Purely by chance, I found her in a diner. A hole in the wall hardly worthy of my patronage but I found myself ensnared with her profile. I needed a second look. A longer look. A bell above the glass door rang harshly, discordant, as I entered the diner after her. Just another reason the diner is pedestrian and not worth my time. Nevertheless, my Moppet was in there and so I contained my disdain and walked inside.
She wore jeans and a red cotton tee with a V-neck that contrasted nicely with her black hair and pale skin. No coat on a cold winter day. I hated every shiver she suffered as she warmed inside the toasty diner. At least the establishment had done that right--many such businesses tried to save money on electricity by barely keeping the chill out of the air.
She ordered a greasy burger and french fries and washed it down with a sugary soda. I had a very difficult time controlling my immediate need to redden the pert cheeks of her ass for ordering such unhealthy food. I had a salad with grilled chicken and drank water. Bottled, of course. It's what she should have had rather than that cholesterol laden pile of junk with no nutritional value.
I soothed my ire with promises that once I obtained her, I would not allow such disregard for her arteries. No more greasy burgers and fries for my Moppet. When she left the restaurant, I followed her to her job and then I followed her home.
She lived in a rundown neighborhood with good bones. It must have been quite nice at one point. Over the next month, I visited many times. I rifled through her mail. I breathed the scent of her panties. I read her diaries--and oh, how precious she is, my Moppet.
Her diaries revealed much more to me than even she might consciously comprehend. As a psychiatrist, I am trained to see what is beyond the outer shell into the mental chaos that is the human brain. It only took a small bit of investigation to confirm my theories. It thrilled me to realize how much she needed me but it also saddened me that I hadn't been there for her much sooner. Had I known of her need, I would have spared her the necessity and made the bitch Aunt disappear. Painfully.
She is, very simply put, perfect for me.
My Moppet--my new obsession. I can feel that I will grow to love her. Just reading the thoughts of her diary has parted curtains in my mind to let sunlight into the grim space my mind had become due to long and lonely years. My teeth clench at the thought of waiting to have her but I must plan. I must make room for her in my house.
I had believed that the part of me that was capable of love had died long ago, with Sophia. Before Sophia's death, she accused me of smothering her with my love. I suppose that was true, for in the end, my love did kill Sophia. I loved her to death.
Moppet would be different. I vowed it.

Engrossing; need the next book!!
By Paly
1. Too short, way too short for a book. I want to read books preferably not short stories. This is not even a short story as there is a cliffy. Damn the protagonists were just getting into it and it ENDED. I can't give 5*'s when other authors put so much more into their books. Sorry Regina, and I think your work is real good, having read some of your other stuff.
2. Needs a good Editor: errors and omissions, and in 65 pages there's plenty:
Not sure what this meant, and I Googled, even 'urban dictionary, to no avail:(view spoiler) Please let me know if you know what this refers to.
(view spoiler) Needs punctuation, and the error correcting. Little things? Yeah sure, but annoying, and certainly separates the great from the not-so-great. Miss Shiderly IMO, could be GREAT! Just needs a bit of help to get there; her work is washed, now it needs a good polish to shine.
(view spoiler) NO, NO, NO!! And the description goes on and on; all this in a 2 second augen blick?? Authors STOP doing this PLEASE, a whole page of this?? Too much detail; allow your readers to use their imaginations to build/create/imagine your characters how they want/need them to be. Stop forcing on me your idea of what physically turns me on or off. Example of good practice: Suzanne Steele's The Executioner. God what an Alp, right there on the front cover. Description overload? No, she barely mentions his physical attributes! SS is a master/mistress at allowing her readers to conjure up their own images of the physical presence of her characters; very clever.
Example of bad practice: EL James's physical description of Grey; his 'grey' eyes, and was it copper coloured hair he had?? Sorry not for me; give me those big black pupils or even aqua green would do, but GREY?? In fact give me NONE, let me imagine his eye/hair colour, height and other physical attributes. LOL, grey, blah.
(view spoiler) No please don't tell me that, please?? I really got mad here, and wanted to put the piece aside, but figured I could still conjure up something that would turn me on. I kept thinking about The Executioner, and continued.
Miss Shiderly surely is a wordsmith, and she used some great phrasing, which can be funny or poignant. I loved both her protagonists; particularly her Alp, he is super mesmerising; super in control; super tough and sexy. Will he maintain those qualities throughout subsequent parts? Dunno; again not fair to other authors who write whole books, and do just that with their Alps.
A taster of how good Miss Shiderly writes, and can capture the reader:
(view spoiler) And that's all the description I need.
The story's good so far (65 pages), and if on KU, I will read PT.2. Most of the writing is tight, and engaging. The characters 2 dimensional, and real. It's all there, just needs 'tweaking' some.
